Half Day Circle Island Tour

The tour begins on the east coast of the island, stopping at Point Venus, a beautiful bay  where the first European explorers landed. It next goes to the Arahoho Blow Hole, a powerful sea geyser, followed by Taravao, a strategic isthmus joining Tahiti Nui and Tahiti Iti. Enjoy a visit to the Gauguin Museum , and the contiguous Botanical Garden, created at the beginning of the 20 th Century, which shows the richness and exuberance of the local flora, and turtles aged more than a hundred years old. The tour also comprises the Maraa Fern Grottoes, just off the Paea shore line, where Tahitians believe evil spirits lurk in the shadowy depths. The excursion's last stop is the Museum of Tahiti and Her Islands. Opened in 1978, it is an excellent introduction to the island and its glorious history.
